When Hacks star Jean Smart accepted her best actress award at the 74th Emmys, she revealed that fellow nominee Rachel Brosnahan sent over “designer cookies” to fête their recognitions.
“She’s very classy,” Smart said of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress. “She sent me this box of these unbelievable designer cookies. They were like five pounds each.” The luxurious sweet treats came from none other than Hollywood-based Last Crumbwhich is dropping its annual Valentine’s Day collection is Jan. 27.
The gourmet baked goods company is known for its streetwear-inspired collection drops, celebrity-inspired bites (like the James Dean and the Madonna), clever marketing (remember when it sent an open letter to Olivia Rodrigo?) and starry fanbase (Lilli ReinhartKim Kardashian, Cardi B and Hailey Bieber have given or received the confections).
The V-Day box is $140 for a dozen or $270 for the 24-piece “DiCaprio” bundle and will be available up until Feb. 16; the cutoff date for Valentine’s Day delivery is Feb. 12. The collection includes three new flavors and three limited-edition cookies: Run Forest Run (black forest cake), Mile High Club (biscoff crunch) and Après Spice (spiced ginger raspberry); and Dazzle Me Darling (chocolate-covered strawberry), The Mint Royale (mint chip) and Queen of Sheba (pistachio). The sweet package also includes Better Than Sex (chocolate chip), Netflix and Crunch (Cinnamon Toast Crunch), What the Velvet (red velvet), The Floor is Lava (chocolate lava), James Dean (Oreo milkshake) and S’more Sans Campfire (s’mores).
The decadent bites come in a luxe white box and will be shipped within 24 hours of coming out of the oven. Per Last Crumb, standard shipping takes about one to two business days; at the moment, the company only delivers within the United States.
The L.A.-based company also recently teamed with New York dessert destination Serendipity3 for a winter-ready cookie collab. Priced from $39 for a three-pack and $95 for gift bundles, the collection features the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate cookie“a rich, chocolatey masterpiece worthy of a Michel star.”
Last Crumb was founded in 2020 by brand builder Alana Arnold, CEO Matthew Jung and head baker Derek Jaeger. The L.A.-based direct-to-consumer brand has previously teamed with the Beverly Hills Hotel, Call of Duty: Black OpsPudgy Penguins and Fly By Jing. Its investors include EDM DJ and music producer Zedd, Electric Feel Entertainment CEO Austin Rosen (who has worked with Post Malone, Lizzo and Lil Nas X), the founders of Truff hot sauce and other entertainment and DTC agencies.
